Did you watch the video and read the blog? I am proposing a divide, not a strong one, but a useful one, between descriptive metaphysics and pure. And am fine with the gray area in between. I am not regulating pure metaphysics to the trashcan. And the comparison with the Pope who refused to encounter the empirical world based on dogma is exactly opposite of UTOK's frame.
